Tucked away on a side street in Old Town Alexandria, Restaurant Eve is a spot for celebrations. With a high-end seasonal menu prepared by Dublin native, Chef Cathal Armstrong, the food is delightful, the service is personable, and the experience is memorable.
They provide tasting menus of 5 courses or a Chef’s surprise with 7 courses. We opted for the a la carte menu. Menus change daily, but while we were there we started with tuna tartare, pork belly, and a tasting of artisanal cheeses from their trolley (which is typically done as a dessert).
For our main course we got scallops and steak, both with fingerling potatoes.
The photos do not do the experience justice (I wasn’t about to use flash…). It was such a wonderful time that I almost teared up when I had my last bite. It was certainly a delicious dinner.
